We are looking for a Manager, SONAR360 and Platform to support our teams within NRC-IRAP’s Division Services. The Manager would be someone who shares our core values of Integrity, Excellence, Respect and Creativity.
Reporting to the Director of Business Applications within NRC-IRAP, the incumbent in this role will:
- Participate in identifying, developing and/or delivering new programming, systems and projects at IRAP, as well as optimizing existing programming, systems or projects. Prioritize work; define goals, priorities, and plans; project manage the work and track and report on progress. Act as a trusted advisor to IRAP’s Leadership Team.
- Use project management processes to monitor project performance and ensure project milestones and deliverables are met on time and within the assigned budget.
- Ensure that project performance and outcomes are communicated effectively to the team and clients.
- Direct the planning to ensure that the program or project has sufficient human resources, skills or competencies, equipment and facilities (within budget) to achieve objectives or outcomes.
- Prepare expenditure and revenue forecasts and manage the assigned budget for fee for service projects according to NRC policies and procedures.
- Lead performance planning and review of personnel and make recommendations to the Director or Director General regarding training and development, promotions, pay increases and other human resource actions as necessary to achieve objectives.
- Create a climate that fosters collaboration, innovation, creativity and communication within IRAP.
- Manage the development/deployment and continuous improvement of IRAP CRM Application and platform in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Establish roadmap for future functionalities/improvements and coordinate prioritization and implementation.
- Take advantage of platform features to enhance CRM functionalities and usability.
- Coordinate the integration of other applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure adoption through change management and training.

- Significant* experience in management principles and practices such as, but not limited to: Project Management, Change Management, Communication Management, Financial Analysis, Issue/Problem Management, Performance Measurement, Human Resources, Risk Management, and Project Administration.
- Experience in providing advice to senior management.
- Experience in building and managing stakeholder relationships within and across organizations.
- Experience in implementing and managing CRM systems.
- Significant* experience in overseeing complex*** projects.
- Experience in designing user-focused applications.
- Experience in functioning successfully in a constantly evolving business and technology environment.
Assets:
- Experience in entrepreneurship or business management of SMEs that develop and commercialize technology-based products and services.
- Experience with MS Dynamics CRM systems.
- Experience in delivering Gs and Cs programs.
- Project management certification.
- Significant experience is defined as having the depth and breadth of experience that would normally have been gained performing the duties over a period of three (3) years or more.
- Recent is defined as within the last five (5) years.

Compensation This position is classified as a Research Council Officer (RCO), a group that is unique to the NRC. Candidates are remunerated based on their expertise, outcomes and impacts of their previous work experience relative to the requirements of the level. The salary scale for this group is vast, from $64,739 to $183,010 per annum, which permits for employees of all levels from new graduates to world renowned experts to be fairly compensated for their contributions.
NOTE: Please note that the full RO/RCO salary scale has five levels. Salary determination will be based on a review of the candidate’s expertise, outcomes and impacts of their previous work experience relative to the requirements of the level. As such, the initial salary could be within another level of the RO/RCO salary scale (i.e. above or below the intended level for this position).
In addition, the incumbent who meets the language requirements will receive the Bilingualism Bonus of $800 per year.
