To handle our growth, we are seeking a dynamic and motivated candidate to join our team as a Sales Representative in Golden Horseshoe/London/GTA.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a reliable, organized, personable individual to join our growing team as Sales Representative. Reporting to the Sales Manager, this permanent full-time role will be responsible for driving growth within agronomic markets, leveraging Allturf’s company values to meet sales targets while aligning with sales strategy, and being a principal point of contact between the turf industry while also spanning to other related areas recommending our products and services.
The ideal candidate will reside in Southwestern Ontario with occasional travel to the head office in Innisfil, Ontario. This role will receive significant hands-on training and in-depth sales experience in the turf industry as we invest in their success and foster their growth. Key responsibilities:
- Arrange and coordinate technical meetings and workshops regarding Allturf’s products and services.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers to increase sales and promote customer loyalty.
- Regularly visit customers throughout your sales territory to build and strengthen relationships.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and providing guidance on the use of our products.
- Attend industry events and conferences to promote our brand and products.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and developments to better serve our customers.
- Prepare sales reports and analyze sales data to track performance and identify opportunities for growth.
- Work within a provided sales/operational budget to achieve sales targets.
- Attend in-person or virtual industry/supplier meetings.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business or Turfgrass Science. College level diploma or certificate related to science and agronomy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and motivational skills. Accurate record keeping, and strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a larger team.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, as required.
- Ability to adapt to changes in routine to achieve objectives.
- Strong computer skills with general utility software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Must have clean driving abstract.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Southern Ontario and adapt to changing schedules.
