About the role

Job Description HVAC REFRIGERATION TECHNICIAN Tsawwassen

As an energetic, professional Refrigeration Repairer, your goal is to service, repair and maintain commercial refrigeration, air-conditioning, and related equipment to the highest standards. You diagnose problems and conditions of mechanical failures and then acquire necessary parts to fix the issue. You service and repair defective equipment, test the repairs, and document the cause of the malfunction, repairs made, and the parts replaced. You advise supervisors on the progress of work and the condition of the equipment once the job is completed. You also act as a mentor to new employees and trades helpers.

You have the ability to clearly and accurately convey technical information through sketches and drawings. You are able to document in a concise, complete and legible manner. You anticipate and analyze problems and initiate appropriate solutions.

You possess a BC or Inter-Provincial Refrigeration Trades Qualification. You have completed an Environmental Awareness Course on Ozone Depleting Substances. You have basic knowledge of WCB regulations and safe working practices. You also have basic knowledge or air-conditioning control systems and working knowledge of relevant codes and regulations. You have experience with all aspects of the installation of new equipment. Stainless steel welding and fabricating are an asset. This position will involve travel.
