Job Description: Carpet/Floor Cleaning Technician – ServiceMaster Clean Victoria
Position Overview: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Carpet/Floor Cleaning Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional cleaning services for carpets and various types of flooring in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities:

Carpet and Floor Cleaning: Perform cleaning, shampooing, and extraction of carpets using appropriate equipment and cleaning solutions. Clean and maintain various types of flooring such as tile, hardwood, laminate, and vinyl.

Inspection and Preparation: Inspect carpets and flooring to determine the appropriate cleaning methods and identify any potential issues or repairs needed. Prepare areas for cleaning by moving furniture, if necessary, and protecting surrounding furnishings and surfaces.

Customer Service: Interact with customers professionally and courteously. Address any concerns or questions regarding the cleaning process and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the service.

Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and operate cleaning equipment including but not limited to carpet extractors, rotary machines, and floor scrubbers. Ensure equipment is in good working condition and report any maintenance or repair needs promptly.

Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Follow industry standards and regulations related to cleaning chemicals and procedures.

Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members and supervisors to complete jobs efficiently and meet service expectations. Provide assistance to colleagues when needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Carpet/Floor Cleaning Technician or in a similar role preferred.
- Knowledge of different types of carpets and flooring materials, as well as appropriate cleaning methods and solutions.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment and machines effectively and safely.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy furniture and equipment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Valid driver's license
