Position Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated finance professional to join our Primary Care team as Finance Manager. In this key leadership role, you will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, deliver high-quality business support to senior leaders, and help drive financial excellence across the organization.

You bring a strong foundation in general accounting, financial analysis, and business partnering, along with experience leading and developing high-performing teams. You operate with integrity, proactively manage risk, and consistently seek opportunities to improve processes.

The ideal candidate is confident, communicative, and thrives in a fast-paced, evolving environment. This role reports directly to the Director of Finance.

What you will be doing:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting and finance team
  • Oversee full-cycle accounting including month-end close, billings, AR, AP, and banking activities
  • Prepare and review monthly financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses; communicate insights to business leaders
  • Partner with FP&A on budgets, forecasts, KPIs, and strategic financial modeling
  • Review contracts and prepare IFRS technical accounting assessments as required
  • Prepare and review working papers to support quarterly and annual reporting; coordinate with external auditors
  • Oversee the review and approval of payments to healthcare providers
  • Drive continuous improvement in accounting processes to enhance efficiency and scalability
  • Maintain and monitor internal controls to ensure sound financial reporting and compliance
  • Support the integration of newly acquired entities into our finance and accounting processes
  • Collaborate with the finance transformation team to implement new systems and automation tools, leveraging AI technologies to drive efficiency and scalability in financial operations
  • Contribute to cross-functional initiatives that support Primary Care’s strategic growth

You have:

  • CPA designation required
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, including 2+ years in a leadership role
  • Healthcare industry experience is an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of IFRS and internal control frameworks
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting systems
  • High attention to detail, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership
  • Self-starter who can work independently and take initiative

The salary offered for this position falls within a specified salary range and will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific needs of the organization.
