Specialist, In-Store Marketing (Contract)
About the role
Reporting to the Manager, In-Store Marketing, the incumbent, will be responsible for coordination and delivery of a variety in store marketing materials ensuring that strategic objectives along with innovation captures a unique customer In-Store experience. The Specialist will act as the liaison between internal stakeholders and external vendors to optimize store programs. Due to the nature of the position, kindly note that the preferred candidate will be required to report to our North York office 3 days a week.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the execution of seasonal campaigns, operations and merchandising requests. Support from concept to postmortem including submission of brief, reviewing proofs, circulating proofs to obtain approvals from all stakeholders and in store testing as required
- Collaborate with the Brand Marketing team to review executional briefs, ensuring all in-store marketing scope is accurately defined and all program elements are thoroughly and correctly briefed
- Manage and lead process with vendors to review inventory, billing, new store signage & hardware required for all new store openings
- Oversee the Marketing Material Replenishment, Local Marketing Tool and Office Marketing Tool Kit, including inventory management, annual review and verification of active elements, replenishment, reporting, financial reconciliation, and maintenance of template library
- Coordinate purchase order creation and process invoices. Maintain monthly finance forecasting for own projects
- Work closely with external on-site vendors that support the execution of all materials and provide clear communication and a positive relationship
- Coordinate content for In-store Radio and Digital Screens including scheduling, and financial reconciliation
- Coordinate store visit requests and manage end to end in-store setup in alignment with marketing standards to support store visits
- Ad hoc requests and additional responsibilities as required
Qualifications
- This Position requires reliable access to a vehicle, as frequent travel to store locations is necessary
- This position requires a strong team player that enjoys working in a fast-paced deadline driven environment and can work collaboratively with multiple internal and external stakeholders to achieve business results
- Adaptable to set and prioritize work with varying exceptions.
- Business acumen – demonstrated negotiating and multi-tasking skills to manage competing timelines. Highly organized to manage a cross-section of programs.
- A strong work ethic and attention to detail and accuracy
Skills & Experience
- Post-secondary education equivalent to a bachelor’s degree or College diploma in Marketing, or Graphic Communication
- 1-3 years relevant, retail marketing experience is required
- Solid working knowledge of Excel, including core functions such as VLOOKUP, PivotTables, basic formulas, data sorting/filtering, and chart creation
- Print & Digital production / fulfillment background is an asset
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communications skills
- Strong results orientation and the ability to operate with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment
- A team orientation, a passion for collaboration and tactful approach in dealing with stakeholders and vendors
