Job Summary:
The Shapemoulder is responsible for operating and monitoring shaping and cutting machinery used in the manufacturing of expanded polystyrene (EPS) products. This role includes setting up machines, performing quality checks, troubleshooting equipment, and ensuring that all products meet production and safety standards.
What you will do:
- Clearing and packing foam parts from a shapemould press after ejection.
- Pack products according to specifications while inspecting for quality.
- Perform tool changes as required.
- Keep work area safe and clean.
- Accurately complete all required paperwork.
- Notify supervisor of any production or quality problems immediately.
- Assist in inventory control.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ Skills/ Knowledge:
- Minimum Grade 12 education
- Be physically fit and able to fulfil packing duties.
- Be able to work in a high moisture environment.
- Be able to maintain to the standard cycle time of the press.
- Proficient in math to complete inventory and accurate paperwork.
- Good organizational skills to operate multiple presses consecutively.
