Family Physician (200-1705)

Join a collaborative team:

Mill Bay Medical Centre is seeking two Family Physicians to join our well-established and collegial group of six fulltime and two part-time physicians. With seven full-time medical practices, we offer a supportive and collaborative environment that prioritizes patient-centered care and work life balance.

Located on Vancouver Island, Mill Bay offers the charm of a scenic coastal community with easy access to the urban amenities and specialist services of Duncan (20 minutes) and Victoria (40 minutes).

Start Date:

  • As soon as possible
  • Both FT and PT positions available

Remuneration:

  • Fee for Service

Overhead:

  • Percent of monthly cost or if preferred a 70:30 split

Hours of Work:

  • 9am to 5pm
  • closed Sat & Sun

Benefits: May be eligible for additional remuneration in accordance with the Rural Subsidiary Agreement (RSA) including:

  • Recruitment Incentive: $10,000 (full-time)
  • Relocation Costs Reimbursement: up to $15,000 (amount based on location relocating from)
  • Fee Premium: 4.20%
  • Annual Flat Fee: $6,508.80
  • Rural CME: starting at $2,200.00/annum in year 3 & 4 to a maximum of $4,400.00/annum after 4 years.

Community Information: Mill Bay is part of the beautiful Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island and enjoys Canada's most temperate climate. Characterized by diverse landscapes from lush countryside to scenic coastal villages and charming inland communities, the Cowichan Valley, encompasses freshwater lakes, saltwater beaches and marinas, and farmland. The area offers a wide variety of attractions for outdoor enthusiasts including great hiking and biking trails, golfing, sailing, canoeing and ocean kayaking. In addition to many local artisans and attractions, the South Cowichan Valley boasts five top vineyards and wineries.
