Job Summary The Senior Business Analyst at Bayshore Specialty Rx (BSRx) is responsible for capturing business requirements related to BSRx application operational change requests, as well as planning, managing, and delivering projects in collaboration with internal departments. This role focuses on aligning strategic goals with operational needs to build patient journey orchestration solutions using Microsoft Customer Insights.
Acting as a subject matter expert, the Senior Business Analyst liaises between BSRx and the Bayshore Information Technology team to ensure successful delivery of application releases. The role requires strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to test new application functionality and resolve operational issues.
This position also includes responsibility for system configuration and maintaining InfoBay program documentation. Additionally, the Senior Business Analyst serves as the business lead on IT-related projects, overseeing requirements gathering, project coordination, and user acceptance testing.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and map business requirements to understand stakeholder needs and objectives.
- Design and implement customer journey orchestration using Microsoft Customer Insights.
- Collaborate with marketing, IT, and other departments to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Segment customers for targeted campaigns and integrate data to provide a unified customer view.
- Ensure data security and compliance with privacy standards.
- Automate and streamline processes using Customer Insights to reduce manual tasks.
- Manage patient communication preferences and consent tracking.
- Create and execute test scripts for new application functionality.
- Validate application changes and provide feedback to stakeholders and developers.
- Document application changes, training materials, work instructions, and release notes.
- Serve as the primary business contact for Level 1 application support and escalate issues to IT as needed.
- Coordinate with IT to ensure timely and scoped project delivery.
- Manage risks, evaluate change requests, and implement solutions.
- Support internal teams and clients through application changes.
- Track and resolve issues, initiating corrective actions when necessary.
- Lead Change Advisory Board meetings to manage release processes.
- Provide regular updates to the Business Applications Manager.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Escalate issues to management when additional support is required.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience working with clinical teams on application development and implementation.
- 2–4 years of experience documenting business requirements and working with IT or using low-code Microsoft tools as a citizen developer.
- 1–2 years of experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 365 and Microsoft Customer Insights or similar platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Mailchimp, SurveyMonkey).
- Basic understanding of SQL and entity-relationship models.
- Proficiency with Microsoft SharePoint, Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Experience in healthcare project implementation and specialty pharmaceuticals is an asset.
- Familiarity with use case diagramming, workflow documentation, and business analysis tools.
- Knowledge of patient support programs, specialty pharmacy, and reimbursement services is an asset.
- Basic knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML is a plus.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Diplomatic and responsive in handling challenging situations.
- Client-focused with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Understanding of the broader Microsoft ecosystem and how to leverage it for business solutions.
- Bilingualism in English and French is an asset.
