Chances are that the elevator had an elegant interior, stylish and well-built buttons and fixtures. You may not have noticed them – we understand – but once you’ve worked with us, you will notice them everywhere you go.
Our New Packaging Operator:
Responsible for packaging, weighing, labelling and loading materials. The Packaging Operator will perform quality checks for defective items and ensure all materials make it to the loading area for inventory, while keeping a detailed record.
The ideal candidate will have “can do attitude” and willingness to learn.
Qualifications and Educational Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent experience
- Experience in manufacturing or related field is preferred.
- Basic shop skills, such as using hand tools.
- Ability to read, understand and follow instructions
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail paired with the ability to multitask.
- Medium to highly detail-oriented
- Able to lift up to 50lbs (assisted if needed)
Responsibilities, Skills, and Competencies:
- Pack, weigh, and label completed items for shipment or storage.
- Examine and inspect materials to ensure packaging specifications are met.
- Move completed materials to loading dock.
- Identify and remove defective material.
- Keep record of all product, packaging, and order information on specified forms.
- Properly use hand tools.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Other duties as required.
- Able to lift up to 15lbs; may work in hot areas 5%, noise 0%.
- Ensure adherence to Health and Safety as well as active participation in 5S activities in work area.
*This is a day shift position based in Mississauga, ON: Monday to Thursday 7:00 am to 4:30 pm, Friday 7:00 am - 3:30 pm*
