We’re a mission-driven, growth-stage company backed by top-tier investors, and we’re seeking a sharp, hands-on Senior Accountant
to join our dynamic finance team. Reporting to the VP, Finance, the Senior Accountant will play a key role in our financial operations, helping build a scalable accounting function to support growth and compliance. You’ll own core accounting processes, contribute to monthly close and reporting, and help operationalize financial systems and controls in a fast-paced environment. This is a high-impact role with exposure to leadership and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Own full cycle accounting processes, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger reconciliations
- Lead and manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close procedures
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with ASPE
- Maintain accurate records of capital assets, accruals, and prepaids
- Assist with external audits, investor reporting, and tax compliance
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes with actuals reporting and variance analysis
- Evaluate and improve internal controls and accounting policies to support scalability
- Partner cross-functionally (e.g., RevOps, Customer Success, Product) to ensure accurate financial data and reporting
- Contribute to ERP, payroll, and financial system implementations or upgrades
Qualifications
- CPA designation (or in final stages)
- Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2+ years in full cycle accounting
- Experience in SaaS, digital health, or tech-enabled services is a strong asset
- Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Xero, or NetSuite
- Experience using AI is an asset, openness to automation and efficiency using AI is a requirement
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently in a high-growth, fast-changing environment
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
