This is a full-time contract position from September to December 2025 (potentially to be extended until April 2026), requiring 37.5 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $23.
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and curious Business Analyst Co-op Student to support Educators with our IT transformation efforts.
The position reports to the Vice-President, Business Technology, with duties that include building relationships, communications, business process development, improvement and analysis, data analysis, requirements gathering and definition, solution configuration, project coordination, documentation and training.
The position holder will be heavily involved in on-going and upcoming business technology projects (e.g., Shared Drives migration to OneDrive and SharePoint).
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Working with Educators teams to identify and document business process/system requirements, acting as liaison between the business functions and technology team.
Assisting and conducting impact analysis of requirements.
Analyzing information systems processes, proposing solutions to improve performance and efficiency.
Coordinating new system implementation including timely data migration, user training and support.
Conducting tests to ensure the reliability, accuracy, and functionality of system changes and enhancements.
Managing and updating project and information technology specific documentation.
Assisting team members with other miscellaneous tasks that augment internal operational efficiencies.
Qualifications
Active enrollment in a relevant post-secondary education program with an interest in Business Analysis, IT Applications & Infrastructure and the implementation of Technology. Applicants must have completed at least two years of post-secondary education.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and MS Teams.
Experience working with OneDrive and SharePoint would be considered an asset.
Experience in supporting the implementation of technology initiatives within a corporate environment will be an asset.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
Commitment to accuracy, thoroughness, and timeliness.
