About the role

The Granite Club is looking for a full time Active Therapy Clinic Manager that will be responsible for managing all operational aspects within the Active Therapy Clinic. The Active Therapy Clinic has the goal to assist and coach individuals in the restoration and improvement of optimal health and wellness. The clinic offers chiropractic, physiotherapy, naturopath, nutrition, Chinese acupuncture and massage therapy services.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Responsible for contracting services of Chiropractors, Physiotherapists, Osteopaths, Chinese Acupuncture and Massage Therapists, Nutritionists, and Naturopaths.
  • Work with the Director of Athletics and Recreation regarding clinic equipment, new programming, promotions and ESS/Granite News articles.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, onboarding, training and development of receptionists and service team.
  • Ensure that we conform to all requirements of the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.
  • Work with practitioners to ensure quality patient care and services are being provided.
  • Participate as required as part of the Club Leadership Team and Athletics & Recreation Leadership Team.
  • Works with all Athletics, Recreation & Racquets teams to ensure synergy and Member satisfaction with departments.
  • Work with the Athletics, Recreation & Racquets Team to promote ATC services at tournaments and events.
  • Responsible for P.O’s, Member billings, contractor payment oversight and internal retail audit.
  • Responsible for ensuring a positive environment and monitoring employee relations and managing conflict.
  • Obtain, review and respond to Member feedback. Monitor Happometer and contact any Members who are not promoters.
  • Create monthly business reports.
  • Conduct Staff/Contractors meetings as needed ensuring compliance with CRA and contractor guidelines are met.
  • Prepare annual budget and quarterly re-forecasting.
  • Conduct annual competitive analysis with comparative Clubs and surrounding community clinics.
  • Prepare and conduct annual Staff reviews.
  • Responsible for sourcing, purchasing, sales and inventory of selected retail products.
  • Prepare annual renewal of contracts for Contractors.
  • Maintain the strictest confidentiality.
  • Review annually the Club’s filing systems and software following best practices in the industry
  • Develop tracking systems which show repeat business, referrals, and opportunities with scheduling of rooms and service providers.
  • Develop and maintain network within and outside of the Club.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Degree in Health Information Management would be an asset.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record Software
  • Minimum of 5 years of previous operational experience in a health care organization.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Knowledge of health administrative practices.
  • Knowledge of Government regulations of Health Canada and Ontario Ministry of Health.
  • Knowledge of policies and procedures of key governing bodies ie. CMTO, CCO, CPO, etc.
  • Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision making, and problem solving expertise.
  • A team player who thinks strategically and effectively when faced with challenges.
  • Strong command of the English language both verbal and written.
  • Flexible to work variable shifts; evenings, weekends and holidays as business demands require
