About the role
The Mutual Funds Sales Assistant is responsible for supporting advisors and branch personnel in the servicing of current clients and the development of new clients. We are looking for a master's multi-tasker with excellent communication skills and an upbeat attitude to fill this position. To be successful, the Sales Assistant must be professional and attentive, while also being accurate. They should be prepared and responsive, willing to meet each challenge directly. The Sales Assistant must be comfortable with mutual funds, segregated fund, GIC, and insurance products, confident with computers, and excel at both verbal and written communication. Most importantly, somebody who is willing to go the extra mile for the company and the client; taking pride in one’s work. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Answer and respond to phone calls and e-mail communications
- Ensure satisfactory resolution of client inquires, coordinating responses with other departments as necessary
- Prepare documentation for transactions such as Purchase, Redemption, Switch, and Transfers for mutual fund, segregated fund, and GIC products
- Be responsible for the completion of mutual fund, segregated Fund, and GIC processing by branch cut-off time
- Conduct a regular review of pending activity and outstanding business and escalate as required
- Prioritize and organization of workflow. Maintain and review documents prepared for accuracy
- Maintain the Client Management Database
- Support advisors’ marketing initiatives with implementation and tracking as needed
- Adhere to a high service level standard
- Work in conjunction with compliance department to ensure compliance regulations are followed.

What you bring to the table
- College diploma in a related field
- A minimum of one year of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Experience within the mutual fund service industry
- Mutual finds Licensed
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office & Teams
- Knowledge of Investments products
