Position Details

Reporting to the Executive Director of Ancillary Services, the Manager of Conference & Event Services will be responsible for all aspects of the University’s conference related management services and operation of the campus Summer Hotel. The Manager will oversee the marketing, sales, space utilization, delivery of contracted services to the customer, and coordination of services from various University departments in a full-cost recovery environment.

The Manager will work closely with internal stakeholders throughout the University, as well as with external contracted services to provide cross-marketing, cross-selling and cross-delivery of services for conferences and hotel group sales and provide transparent delivery of services to customers. The Manager will be responsible for developing strategic partnerships to attract external groups to campus.

Position Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience, plus at least 5 years of professional management experience.
  • The successful candidate will have strong financial and management skills, the ability to manage and direct diverse areas concurrently.
  • Possess excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal and high-level computing skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead in a team environment will form a strong component of the qualification and experience we are seeking.

Starting Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)

$63,255.50 - $79,575.80 annually

Full Salary Range (at 1.0 FTE)

$63,255.50 - $95,896.11 annually (APO - Grade 3)
