- Bachelor’s degree (Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar) or equivalent industry experience
- 7+ years DevOps experience with a cloud like Azure
- Comfortable writing and maintaining software (Go)
- A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and a proven ability to partner with teams across an organization
- A strong sense of ownership
- Ability to deliver solutions for ambiguous or open-ended problems
- Expertise configuring and operating Kubernetes resources
- Experience developing cloud-native services
- Use or adoption of observability (OpenTelemetry) to build dashboards and alerts
- Knowledge of MySQL administration & SQL query optimization
- Experience maintaining Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
- Experience building and maintaining CI/CD systems
- Linux system administration
- Knowledge of information security best practices
- Managing public/private networks and DNS
What the job involves
- As a Senior DevOps Engineer on our Platform Team, you'll be at the heart of our engineering organization
- Not only will you design and implement robust, scalable, and highly reliable infrastructure, but you’ll supercharge our feature teams by developing useful tools and reusable software libraries
- Your innate curiosity and collaborative nature will inspire you to look for ways to improve workflows through tooling, documentation and outreach, and you will champion a culture of constant improvement
- Design and operate critical infrastructure, including Kubernetes, MySQL and Azure services
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
- Leverage observability to ensure operational health of the PocketHealth ecosystem
- Manage networking, DNS & WAF
- Engage with other engineering teams to gain insights, gather feedback, share best practices and solve problems & pain points
- Enhance the developer experience by developing high-quality shared code and tooling, and actively communicating best practices
- Design, maintain and improve core services & automation solutions
