Quails’ Gate Winery is seeking a Seasonal Restaurant Supervisor to join our team at Old Vines Restaurant! If you’re passionate about hospitality, food, and wine and thrive in a fast-paced team environment, this is the perfect opportunity to grow your career. As a supervisor, you will...

  • In collaboration with the Management Team of Old Vines Restaurant, the Supervisor is responsible for the smooth operation of the floor.
  • Ensure staff is working together as a team to ensure optimum service and that guest needs are met
  • Support and offer ongoing training (product knowledge, customer service skills, technical skills) as directed by the Manager.
  • Lead shift briefings in the absence of the Restaurant Manager
  • Address safety and employee performance issues promptly and appropriately - ensure employees are aware of and observe company policies & procedures and bring them to the attention of the Manager
  • Complete opening and closing duties, including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, locking doors, etc.
  • Communicate efficiently with the kitchen ensuring a smooth operation

Requirements:

  • +2 years previous restaurant supervisory experience, preferably within fine dining
  • Wine knowledge from work experience and/or related courses (ISG/WSET level 2 is an asset)
  • Serving it Right/Food Safe Level 1
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to think outside the box
  • High attention to detail and a passion for organization
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be available to work evening shifts, holidays, and weekends. Start times will vary based on business volumes and operational demands
