About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Regional Technical Manager for a leading OEM of commercial cooking equipment. This position will be responsible for the Ontario region.
Compensation:
- Base salary of $ 85 000 + performance bonus paid quarterly
- Company paid benefits package, pension plan with RRSP matching

- Extensive training supporting their business service model, sales cycle and related processes and procedures including ‘hands-on’ use of equipment
- Supported with a comprehensive service structure and product knowledge technical training
Your tasks as the Regional Technical Manager:
- Interview, hire, and negotiate contracts as needed.
- Assist in planning, assigning, and directing the goals of the service organization, including inventory management, first-time fix rate, and resolution time.
- Provide communication back to the Service Partners on their performance to ensure they can take the appropriate action to meet the needs of customers.
- Prepare monthly territory reports and travel/calendar itineraries in a timely manner.
- Review and approve service partner warranty invoices and ensure invoices are processed in a timely manner.
- Administer field and in-house training sessions to train RSP servicers on equipment (hardware and software), accessories, and consumables.
- Administer training sessions on warranty process and expectations.
- Perform necessary tasks to ensure that the company’s owned inventory is operational and is available for sale or used in training.
- Address complaints and resolve problems in a timely manner ensuring that the appropriate Service Partner is providing our customers professional service.
- Responsible for supporting sales process including End Users, Equipment Dealers, Manufacturers Representatives, Regional Sales Managers and the Regional Sales Directors, etc.
- Other duties assigned.
The required qualifications of the Regional Technical Manager:
- 5+ years of experience required.
- Associates/Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, HVAC or similar from an accredited college or university; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret appliance schematics, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills at all levels
- Self-starter and detail-oriented.
- Able to work independently and as a team player.
- Enthusiastic, motivated and results-oriented.
- Valid clear driver's license
