Position Overview
Calian is building a talent pool for future full-time opportunities as Aerospace Telecommunications and Information Systems Technicians (ATIS Tech) in support of defense, aerospace, and airfield operations. These roles are ideal for individuals with training in telecommunications, networking, or IT who are looking to apply their skills in secure and operational environments across Canada.

This opportunity includes paid training, structured onboarding, and long-term career development supporting critical communications infrastructure for national defense.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and troubleshoot telecommunications and IT systems including voice, data, and satellite networks.
- Support secure communications for aerospace and airfield operations.
- Monitor network performance and assist with system upgrades or repairs.
- Configure and test computer hardware, servers, and communication equipment.
- Maintain accurate documentation of technical work, inventories, and system configurations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma and/or diploma or certificate in Telecommunications, Computer Networking, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of radio frequency (RF), networking protocols, and IT systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to follow technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and security procedures.
- Willingness to work in operational or field-based environments and obtain security clearance.
Ideal Candidates May Be:
- Recent or upcoming graduates from college or trades programs
- Interested in structured roles with training and advancement potential
- Open to relocation or working across different regions in Canada
- Canadian citizens or permanent residents
