About the role
As a French lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching the French language, analysing French-language literature and developing students' written and oral expression skills. Your role is to inspire a deep understanding of the language.
Status : Contract – Fall session 2025
Location: Lasalle College, Montreal (Quebec)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan class sessions;
- Deliver sessions in a dynamic, efficient and structured manner;
- Design formative and summative assessments using the competency-based approach;
- Administer and correct assessments;
- Monitor each student and encourage success;
- Be available to students in order to promote their development of the skill targeted by the course;
- All other related tasks.
REQUIREMENTS
- You must be legally entitled to work in Canada;
- Hold a university certificate or diploma or a college diploma, with an option or concentration in the discipline concerned;
- If the diploma is obtained outside Canada, possess a diploma equivalence or proof of application;
- Teach or have teaching experience in the discipline for a full session within the last five (5) years;
- Have worked in a trade or profession related to the discipline or course for at least two (2) years.
This role involves interactions with international students and team members. A professional command of English and French is therefore required for this position.
