Location : Dartmouth, NS

Schedule : Monday to Friday: 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM

What is the Role? The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for managing and coordinating the activities of the operations department. They will also be responsible for ensuring that all operational processes are running smoothly and efficiently. The Operations Supervisor will also be responsible for developing and implementing new operational procedures and policies.

What You’ll Do? The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for:

  • Overseeing and coordinating various operational elements of our business. This includes health & safety; production; distribution functions; inventory management; and logistics.
  • Drive a culture of safety and accountability based on corporate metrics
  • Planning, scheduling, and directing work.
  • Tracking and reporting performance goals.
  • Maintaining equipment and the facility.
  • Monitoring associate performance and safety.
  • Promote and encourage team growth and engagement.
  • Ensuring that company policies and procedures are practiced.

Objectives

  • To ensure that all operations are carried out in an efficient and effective manner.
  • To oversee, in conjunction with the operations team, the day to day running of the operations department.
  • To liaise with other departments to ensure smooth running of operations.
  • To develop and implement operational procedures.
  • To monitor performance against KPIs and take corrective action where necessary.
  • To allocate resources and manpower as required.
  • To provide leadership and motivation to the team.

Who You Are?

  • We would love to hear from you if you have:
  • 3 or more years of successful supervisory or management experience in a distribution warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment.
  • A bachelor or associates degree in a related field would be an asset.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • The ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Computer literacy or experience with MS applications, SAP, or other related ERP platforms.
  • The ability to work well under pressure.
  • Possess a “can-do” attitude and approach.
  • Track record of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Track record of successfully collaborating with team members & customers.
  • Experience collaborating with various areas within an organization.
  • Lean experience and credentials (e.g., yellow belt)
  • Must demonstrate flexibility during seasonal sales spikes (spring/fall)
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills

In adherence to the principle of pay transparency, we are pleased to disclose the base pay for this full-time position at Metrie. The base pay range for this role is set at $40,080- $69,120. It is important to note that this position may also qualify for discretionary bonuses or commission payments. The specific base pay within the range will be contingent upon an individual's skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location. Furthermore, it is essential to highlight that our remuneration ranges are established based on the role, level, and location.
