About the role

Job Description As Regional Service Manager, you will oversee the Service Department in your region. This position reports directly to the General Manager, Service. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

  • Grow Amada Service revenue (AMP & Billable) across your region
  • Manage client relationships and deliver a top aftermarket customer experience
  • Create AMP quotes and process AMP PO#s
  • Prepare service request quotes
  • Coordinate Regional & Area Service technician schedules and make sure man power is in proper placement daily as needed
  • Coordinate training schedules with the National Service Team to ensure all technicians receive training as appropriate, utilizing showroom machines where applicable
  • Manage vacation schedules of technicians
  • Hire regional and area technicians
  • Utilize experienced technicians to train regional and area technicians
  • Support technicians and customers calling for phone support
  • Transfer calls to related product specialist or technician
  • Provide onsite support to technicians (available for service calls within the region)
  • Conduct client Installation Checklist visits as required
  • Visit customers to resolve conflicts / provide assurance to customers
  • Coordinate any retroactive machine corrections sent out from Japan/ AAI/LKI
  • Send detailed emails to Japan related to ongoing service issues / calls
  • Support the order desk, and provide customer support for part numbers
  • Assist Purchasing / Inventory Department in finding local parts suppliers
  • Manage / approve all expense reports, SROs, time sheets, and service reports for your staff
  • Authorize and request Fanuc service and create POs (Infor System)
  • Process warranty claims for parts and create part orders (Infor System)
  • Help manage costs and keep them under control by utilizing service technicians time effectively
  • Ensure Health & Safety Standards as well as company safety policies are complied with at all times
  • Perform other related duties to meet the ongoing needs of the organization

Qualifications

  • 8-10 Years of Service Management experience coming from an Equipment Manufacturer.
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering or related Discipline
  • Available to drive to Customer locations within Ontario.
