About the role

Great Blue Heron Casino & Hotel is seeking a Part-time Gaming Inspector!

Reporting to the Pit Manager, the Gaming Inspector oversees and ensures first-rate customer service and efficient table game procedures at assigned tables and to act within and according to internal guidelines to ensure the compliance of legal requirements.

The ideal candidate is an energetic professional with proven knowledge, skills and abilities, executing the following in support of the company’s vision, mission and values:

  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills are required to be displayed at all times
  • To oversee and ensure efficient table game procedures at assigned tables
  • Ensure professional game activity and respectful Customer Service by attending to patrons with optimal care and professionalism
  • Abides by the binding instructions for the safety and the handling of money, keys and codes
  • Conveys and implements methodical error prevention and is involved in its continuous improvements
  • Sets examples through own actions
  • Makes certain that all game activities and transactions are carried out professionally and efficiently according to the ICM, GBH policies and procedures and under strict compliance with legal requirements
  • Responsible for the transactions on the tables as well as their correct entry and verification (with signature) of all transactions
  • Jointly responsible for the correct accounting of money transactions within the Table Games Department and the issue of all legally required information in regards to table results
  • Reports all incidents to the Pit Manager and/ or the Gaming Shift Manager respectively in accordance with regulated operating procedures
  • Reports any suspicious guest-behavior that may hinder the implementation of licensing requirements and/or incur liabilities (trespass, money laundering, social obligations) to the Pit Manager or the Gaming Shift Manager
  • Enter the Guests information from the Players card into the system
  • Ask Guests for their Players card and to explain the value of the card To perform other duties as required by the Pit Manager

Successful applicants will demonstrate the following qualifications:

  • Experience as a Dealer 4 or above
  • Must first successfully pass Inspectors training as defined by the Casino Prior to being considered for any Table Game Inspector positions
  • Experience in money handling
  • Thorough knowledge of the applicable sections of the:
  • Gaming Control Act
  • Approved Rules of games
  • Games Procedures
  • Must be accurate and detail oriented
  • Works independently, diligently and dutifully
  • Must have excellent communication, negotiating and conversational skills
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Able to deal with stressful situations in a high volume establishment Dedicated to superior customer service

Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays and overnights. The hours of work will be based on operational needs. Ready to embark on your next adventure?
