We are looking for a full-time Technical Sales Representative to join our Edmonton-based team. The successful candidate will be expected to do the following:
Sales
- Sales calls on existing accounts to maintain business and increase market share by introducing new products and services.
- Sales calls on new accounts to increase market penetration.
- Use effective territory management strategy to maximize time spent on revenue generating activities.
- Use available Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools to maintain a database of customer details, needs, products, and frequencies of repairs/orders.
- Proactively seek and maintain knowledge of customer asset ownership to leverage potential opportunities.
- Timely submit required documentation for expenses, monthly reports, call notes and quote logging.
- Achieve sales, product, and margin goals acceptable to management expectations.
- Occasional travel as required for visiting customers, suppliers, and training.
- Continually upgrade sales skills and product knowledge through educational programs.
- Maintain strong internal relationships with Customer Service Representatives for completion of objectives.
General
- Assist other areas/teams as required.
- Participate in worksite hazard assessments, incident investigation, safety meetings, safety training and other aspects of the Hi-Tech Seals safety and quality control programs.
- Other duties as required.

- Consultative selling, negotiation skills, pipeline management, upselling and cross-selling.
- Communication – Technical communication, presentation skill, listening, proposal writing.
- Relationship Building – Customer relationships, internal collaboration, networking.
- Analytical and Strategic Thinking – Needs assessment, market analysis, data-driven decision making, strategic planning.
- Adaptability and Learning – Continuous learning, problem adaptability, feedback integration.
- Project and Time Management – Project coordination, time management, CRM tools proficiency.
- Business Acumen – Understanding ROI, Budget awareness, and contract familiarity.
Education and other skills
