Summary

As an Inside Sales Account Representative at Holland Imports, you will play a key role in driving revenue and delivering exceptional customer service. Focused on engaging with customers by phone and email, you will support key accounts, uncover new business opportunities, and grow customer relationships. Your performance will directly contribute to our growth and profit-sharing objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow existing key accounts by ensuring their needs are met promptly and professionally
  • Uncover new sales opportunities within your assigned customer portfolio through active discovery and engagement
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through outbound calls and follow-ups
  • Strengthen customer relationships to drive loyalty and expand market share
  • Utilize sales promotions to grow and expand opportunities with both new and existing customers
  • Negotiate pricing and sales programs in alignment with company guidelines and customer needs
  • Handle customer objections with professionalism, providing clear solutions to maintain strong relationships
  • Log, track, and maintain all customer interactions and sales activities in the CRM system
  • Investigate and resolve customer concerns, including pricing issues and product returns
  • Conduct timely follow-ups on outstanding quotes and orders to maintain high service levels
  • Support showroom visitors and collaborate with the Customer Service Team to enhance the customer experience

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education (college or university degree)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inside sales or account management (preferred)
  • Proven ability to develop, foster, and grow customer relationships through phone and other outreach methods
  • Skilled in uncovering new business opportunities within existing accounts
  • Experience negotiating customer pricing and program terms
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use sales promotions to drive growth and customer engagement
  • Strong objection-handling and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent customer service and telephone communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for effective customer and team collaboration
  • Proven ability to understand customer needs, offer solutions, and close sales
  • Comfortable learning and using business software systems for order processing
  • Proficient in maintaining detailed records in CRM systems
  • Intermediate math skills for pricing, quoting, and order accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with NetSuite (Oracle) is an asset
