SUMMARY:
The position is responsible for water quality monitoring.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Develops a world-class water quality monitoring program
-
Works closely with a diverse team to respond to water quality issues and develop timely solutions
-
Ensures that water quality data are documented and tracked
-
Assists with research programs aimed at improved quality of care of the animals that live at the Vancouver Aquarium
-
Maintains and upgrades water quality laboratory equipment
-
Ensures timely reporting of water quality results to all stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS:
-
Diploma or degree in biology, environmental science, or a similar related field.

3-5 years of relevant experience
-
Registration for designation with a professional association is an asset
-
Experience leading water quality monitoring and maintenance of field equipment including water quality meters
-
Ability to work in physically demanding remote field settings for extended durations
-
Excellent verbal and written communications skills
-
Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative working style
-
Valid Class 5 driver's license (Preferred)
PROVISOS:

Successful completion of pre-employment requirements.
-
Must be willing to work outside of regular office hours when needed.
Pay Range: $24 - $34 / Hour
