Title: Senior Advisor, Cultural Safety and Humility
Salary: $88,948 - $104,644 - $120,341 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: 2 years
Hours: 37.5 hours (core hours 9am-3pm Mon-Fri)
Location: Park Royal Office, West Vancouver located on the ancestral Coast Salish Territories of the Squamish, Musqueam & Tsleil-Waututh Nations.

About the role
As the Regional Senior Advisor, Cultural Safety and Humility, you will undertake policy, standard, and process development and analysis to advance areas aligned with Regional strategies and objectives. From a systems wide perspective and working with health system partners, you will provide senior level expertise by reviewing, recommending and development of new policies by ensuring that cultural safety is a core attribute of quality healthcare through standardization of key practices, levers and enablers, and through establishing and maintaining relationships with key internal and external partners. Under the direction of the Regional Executive Director (RED), you will provide direct support to First Nations Health Community representatives and management and undertake the oversight of project teams and budgets as appropriate.

About you
To be successful in this role you will bring:

Education

  • University Degree in a related field such as health policy, public policy, health systems management, political or social science or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience

  • Five (5) to seven (7) years of recent, relevant, and progressive experience in policy development and analysis
  • Experience in working with First Nations and First Nations health programs and services

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
