Job Overview
As a Maintenance Worker, you’ll be responsible for general building repairs and maintenance to ensure our hotel remains safe, functional, and welcoming. You’ll help keep our guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities in excellent shape, supporting our commitment to exceptional service and comfort.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete minor work orders such as replacing ceiling tiles, light bulbs, filters, repairing plumbing fixtures, patching walls, and painting.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Monitor and ensure the efficient operation of equipment and systems, including HVAC, lighting, guest room access doors, and appliances.
- Assist with general plumbing and electrical repairs, and support kitchen and laundry equipment maintenance.
- Repair and refurbish guest room furniture and fixtures; paint and finish as needed.
- Maintain exterior areas, including front entrance, parking lot, and signage, ensuring cleanliness and safety.
- Replenish tools, supplies, and inventory as needed while minimizing waste.
- Follow all safety and security protocols, reporting unsafe conditions promptly.
- Respond courteously and efficiently to guest requests to ensure a positive experience.
- Collaborate with other departments to support hotel operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned in line with Marriott and company standards.
Qualifications and Requirements

Experience: Minimum 1 year of general maintenance and repair experience required.

Education: High school diploma or vocational training preferred.

Skills: Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical work, and general building systems. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are essential.

Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Able to stand, walk, kneel, climb, crawl, bend, and stoop for extended periods
- Able to operate tools and equipment safely and effectively
Other Requirements:
- Comfortable reading and writing for documentation and repair instructions
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
