We are currently looking for a Site Supervisor to join our team in North Bay, Ontario.
Reporting to the General Manager, the Site Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of drivers, laborers, and other operational staff at the North Bay site. This role ensures safe and efficient service delivery, supports compliance with company policies and government regulations, and contributes to a positive and productive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily operations and workforce scheduling to ensure timely and accurate completion of routes and tasks
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture through coaching, toolbox talks, and active participation in health & safety programs
- Conduct daily pre-trip meetings, monitor performance, and provide on-the-job support and direction to team members
- Coordinate vehicle maintenance needs and report equipment issues promptly
- Address and resolve customer service concerns professionally and in a timely manner
- Assist with onboarding and training of new employees
- Ensure all site activities comply with company policies and relevant legislation
- Maintain accurate operational records and support administrative tasks as needed
- Communicate regularly with the General Manager on site performance, challenges, and improvement opportunities
- Perform other related duties as required
Qualifications & Skills:
- 3–5 years of supervisory or lead-hand experience in transportation, waste management, or a similar field
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Hands-on knowledge of fleet operations and commercial vehicle safety standards
- Solid computer skills, including experience with MS Office; familiarity with Trux is an asset
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team in a unionized or safety-regulated environment is an asset
- Valid DZ or AZ license preferred
