We're Hiring: Controller (Senior Finance Lead)
📍 Location – St Thomas, Ontario, 4 days on-site
Are you a hands-on, strategic finance leader ready to make a meaningful impact? We’re looking for a Finance Consultant to join our client's team and drive financial operations, cost accounting, ERP optimization, and cross-functional business support.
Reporting directly to the Vice President, the Consultant will be the senior finance lead for the organization. This role will not only oversee accounting, reporting, and purchasing but will also play a critical role in business planning, cost strategy, and company growth .
🔍 Key Responsibilities
✔ Oversee all accounting functions — from daily transactions to year-end financials
✔ Full ownership of ERP system (Epicor is a MUST HAVE) and data integrity
✔ Manage and improve cost accounting models across labor, materials, and overhead
✔ Lead financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
✔ Provide strategic input on business risk, quoting, and profitability
✔ Manage and mentor finance and administrative staff
✔ Ensure government compliance (tax, SRED, WSIB, EHT, HST, etc.)
🧠 What You Bring
✔ CPA, CGA designation
✔ Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
✔ 10+ years of senior-level financial leadership experience
✔ Strong background in manufacturing finance and cost accounting
✔ Advanced Excel skills and financial modeling experience
✔ Fluency with ERP systems — Epicor Kinetic
✔ Experience with multi-currency transactions (USD/CAD)
✔ Proactive, solutions-oriented, and highly analytical
✔ A collaborative, continuous improvement mindset
