Job Description:
Affinity Healthcare Solutions is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of healthcare initiatives in alignment with the Department of Health’s Project Management Framework. This role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and external vendors to drive projects from initiation through completion. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for managing scope, timelines, and budgets using industry-standard methodologies. Key duties include resource planning, risk and issue management, and ensuring alignment with project goals and stakeholder expectations. The position also requires regular updates to senior leadership and active participation in presentations and external forums.
Responsibilities:
- Drive strategic planning and execution of healthcare technology projects, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to ensure clarity, alignment, and effective communication.
- Oversee the delivery of Salesforce-based solutions, including Health Cloud, ensuring fit-for-purpose implementations and seamless user adoption.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and change management strategies to support clinical and operational transformation.
- Develop and maintain integrated project plans, highlighting interdependencies, critical paths, and mitigation strategies.
- Monitor and report on project health using KPIs, dashboards, and executive briefings tailored for healthcare leadership.
- Lead project governance activities, including risk assessments, quality reviews, and decision escalation processes.
- Ensure compliance with privacy, security, and data governance standards specific to Canadian healthcare environments.
- Mentor and guide junior project resources and support knowledge sharing across project teams.
- Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives across the PMO or program office.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline; equivalent education and experience considered.
Experience:
- Minimum 10 years as a Project Management in Information Management/Information Technology.
- Experience in digital health/eHealth.
- Experience managing projects delivering solutions on Salesforce platform.
Desirable Skills:
- Minimum 7 years in eHealth project management.
- Strong communication, coordination, and presentation skills.
- Experience managing large, complex projects involving multiple business units and organizations.
- Proficiency in issue/risk management, change control, implementation, and transition.
- Leadership experience in IT team environments.
- Minimum 2 years as Senior Project Manager for Salesforce Health Cloud implementations.
- Experience in shared services environments.
- Possession of recognized Project Management certification.
