Position: Kitchen Support Staff
Location: Adelaide Early Childhood Learning Centre (189 Adelaide Street South, London, Ontario, N5Z 3K7)
Schedule: 25 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Start Date: Immediately

Position Summary
This position will support the operations of the kitchen at our Adelaide location. The successful candidate will ensure quality health and safety food practices are followed in the serving of food and maintain a clean and organized kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Serve quality, nutritious snacks and lunch for up to 88 children prepared by our centralized kitchen
- Perform daily cleaning duties and sanitization of the kitchen, as well as hand washing all dishes using a three-sink method
- Ensure food inventory levels are maintained by ordering from suppliers while maintaining a pre-approved budget
- Move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, remain in a stationary position during the shift
- Demonstrate effective multi-tasking skills and move at a pace that meets established timelines
- Perform a range of administrative functions, such as maintaining daily charts and logs as required daily
- Comprehend and adhere to the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA), public health and safety guidelines, and London Bridge policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Current Safe Food Handling Certificate
- Post-secondary education preferred
- Experience working in a kitchen environment
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong communication skills
- Awareness of allergy and dietary needs
