About the role

Summary:

Reporting to the General Manager of U-Drive & MKH Ventures, the Assistant Manager-The Pas will assist to manage staff, oversee fleet logistics & implement company policies to drive success. Assist customers with reservations & inquiries, ensuring every customer has a smooth and positive experience. Exceptional communication skills & customer service experience is a major part of this role; therefore, it is important that the individual excels at working in a collaborative and fast paced environment with a strong ability to multi-task with effective time management.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Operational Support: Assist in managing daily rental operations across multiple locations, ensuring policies and procedures are followed.
  • Customer Service: Assist customers through the reservation process to select the best vehicle based on their financial needs & travel destination. Handle escalated customer issues, ensuring a high standard of service for prompt resolution.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance and support to other rental agents and location managers, assisting with training, car planning and performance evaluations.
  • Fleet Management: Perform vehicle inspections daily to maintain vehicle damage reports & customer billing. Monitor vehicle availability, coordinate maintenance schedules, and oversee the transfer of inventory between locations as needed.
  • Sales & Revenue Growth: Support local branches in achieving revenue goals through effective upselling and customer engagement.
  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure all locations adhere to company policies, local law regulations & safety procedures are met. Confirm & validate each driver's license & ensure credit card requirements are met to maintain a successful rental operation.
  • Administrative Duties: Manage multiple department reports, financial tracking, and maintain our database to ensure all information is kept current & confidential. Assisting Accounting Team with various tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
  • Problem-Solving: Address operational challenges, working with upper management to implement solutions that improve workflow and productivity.

Other Job Requirements:

  • Clean Driver’s License-MANDATORY

  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy

  • Honest & professional, a strong team player, always leading by example

  • Ability to develop & maintain positive working relationships with customers & coworkers

  • Strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently

  • Excellent problem solving, judgment skills.

  • Strong computer skills (internet & MS Office), with the ability to maintain records using a computerized system Ability to build and maintain rapport with customers.
  • Bookkeeping experience would be an asset.
