Reporting to Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, the Instrumentation Technician’s primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Safe and efficient installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of a range of industrial machinery, electrical and instrumentation systems, controls and ancillary equipment;
Supporting the operation in preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance work processes and providing feedback to optimize plant reliability;
Adhering to and promoting all safety policies and procedures;
Identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement of area activities
Perform daily tasks documenting activities using Computer Maintenance Management Systems.
Qualifications:
Certificate of Qualification as Instrumentation and Control Technician (447A) would be an asset
Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults using pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments
Repair and adjust system components, such as sensors, transmitters and programmable logic controllers, or remove and replace defective parts
Education training and experience in process automation and control.
A motivated attitude, a dynamic approach to getting tasks complete, and pride in accomplishment and craftsmanship;
Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work and complete test and maintenance reports
Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience with power distribution systems would be an asset
Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 10-hour shifts (Kidd Operations reserves the right to modify working schedules as necessary, in accordance with applicable notice requirements and labor regulations.)
