About the role
Summary
Reporting to the Superintendent, Mine Operations, the Administrator will be responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to the Mine Operations team.
Responsibilities
- Track and report Mine Production of Small Fleet and maintain various databases
- Create and manage Purchase Requisitions, Track Purchase Orders, arrange for pickup
- Assist with payroll activities (Day force), attendance and vacation planning and tracking
- Maintain crew calendars and overtime roster
- Prepare, send, and track Mine Operations reservations
- Track and collect data from Shifter Reports, safety meetings, and audits
- Tracking of Pumps and Generators
- HSE monthly report
- Mine/Engineering Summary Monthly Report
- Maintaining Man Hours Spreadsheet
- Maintain regular communication between Shifters, Superintendent, Warehouse, Purchasing and Vendors
- Maintain available Inventory of logbooks, hot gloves, and various forms in the toolbox meeting room
- Document control
- Hand out weekly safety documents to Pit-Crews
- Organize and maintain filing systems
- Perform other duties and provide assistance as required
Experience, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Excellent organizational skills with a high degree of accuracy
- Proven ability to work under pressure and multi-task
- Able to prioritize jobs, able to handle interruptions on a regular basis
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Innovative thinking and strong interpersonal skills
- Good work ethic, self-starter, and high-performance attitude
- Strong ability to build relationships and work effectively with others at all levels of the organization
Working Conditions
- Work involves a camp-based role at the Mount Milligan Mine site with a set work schedule on a 4/3 work schedule, Monday to Thursday, 10 hours per day.
- The role is located at the Mount Milligan Mine, which is approximately 155 kilometers northwest of Prince George, British Columbia.
- Bus transportation to and from site is provided free of charge from Fort St. James and Mackenzie. Employees accessing the site from outside the region are eligible to receive a tax-free travel allowance commensurate with the distance they are required to travel.
- Candidates must be able to maintain high levels of performance for extended shifts.
- Mount Milligan promotes a drug and alcohol-free workplace and has adopted a zero-tolerance policy with respect to alcohol or unauthorized drugs on site.
