Evergreen Communication Therapy Ltd. is currently looking for a passionate, creative, and personable Communicative Disorders Assistant to join our clinical team to conducting in- person 1:1 direct therapy to children and small groups. The position would start as part-time with a goal to grow into full time hours.
Location:
In-clinic private practice in Uptown Waterloo at 30 Dupont St. E.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver one-to-one and/or small group speech and language therapy for children
- Facilitate small group therapy programs
- Plan and prepare programming and complete other administrative tasks identified by supervising SLP and management
- Maintain clinical documentation and data
- Assist with client and caregiver training, workshops, and events
- Maintain knowledge in current evidence-based practices
- Supervise students and volunteers
- Participate in team meetings and clinical rounds
Skills, Requirements, and Qualifications:
- Graduate from an accredited Communicative Disorders Assistant program
- Experience working under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Strong interpersonal skills and time-management skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Comfort using technology and software programs (i.e., Zoom, Google Drive, etc.)
- Experience working within an interdisciplinary team is an asset
- Takes initiative, works well independently and in a team environment
- Current police check for the vulnerable sector will be required
