Evergreen Communication Therapy Ltd. is currently looking for a passionate, creative, and personable Communicative Disorders Assistant to join our clinical team to conducting in- person 1:1 direct therapy to children and small groups. The position would start as part-time with a goal to grow into full time hours.

Location:

In-clinic private practice in Uptown Waterloo at 30 Dupont St. E.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver one-to-one and/or small group speech and language therapy for children
• Facilitate small group therapy programs
• Plan and prepare programming and complete other administrative tasks identified by supervising SLP and management
• Maintain clinical documentation and data
• Assist with client and caregiver training, workshops, and events
• Maintain knowledge in current evidence-based practices
• Supervise students and volunteers
• Participate in team meetings and clinical rounds

Skills, Requirements, and Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited Communicative Disorders Assistant program
• Experience working under the supervision of a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Strong interpersonal skills and time-management skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Comfort using technology and software programs (i.e., Zoom, Google Drive, etc.)
• Experience working within an interdisciplinary team is an asset
• Takes initiative, works well independently and in a team environment
• Current police check for the vulnerable sector will be required
