Summary
We are currently recruiting for an Instrumentation Technician for a temporary 6-month contract, with possibility of extension or turning into a permanent opportunity. The successful candidate will be based out of the Edmonton Automation Center and will be tasked with assembling, testing, supporting, and servicing a range of Spartan products. This position will report to the Manager, Production.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assembly, testing, repair, and calibration on a variety of Spartan products
- Pick stock to fulfill customer orders
- Assist with the assembly of orders
- Provide product telephone support for internal and external customers
- Inspect and process customer credit orders
- Provide support to other production areas in EDA as needed
- Operate both the forklift and crane
- Participate in overtime as required to meet customers’ demands
Qualifications and Skills
- Instrumentation Technology Diploma, Journeyman Instrumentation Technician, or Instrumentation Apprentice
- Previous control and isolation valve experience would be an asset
- Strong mechanical knowledge and skills
- Entrepreneurial work ethic
- Adaptability to provide support to different areas as required
- Outstanding commitment to customer service
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organization skills
- Ability to work individually as well as in a team
- Strong problem-solving ability
- Previous with SAP considered an asset
- Willing to work morning and/or evening shifts, as well as overtime and/or weekends, as required
- Physically able to lift a minimum of 35 lbs.
