About the role

Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team in creating exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and safety, along with excellent leadership skills to manage kitchen operations efficiently. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for menu development, overseeing food quality, and ensuring that all dishes meet our high standards of excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and design innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor food costs and implement strategies to maximize profitability while maintaining quality.
  • Assist in the development of special events and catering menus as needed.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and incorporate new techniques into the kitchen operations.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality or restaurant industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety standards, and handling procedures.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a diverse team.
  • Experience in menu planning and cost control is highly desirable.
  • Bartending experience is a plus, enhancing the overall dining experience for guests.
  • A passion for cooking and helping others develop their culinary skills is essential.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $18.20 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 25 per week

Additional pay:
