Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
- Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a wide range of carpentry projects.
- Experience working independently and in teams.
- Safety conscious, able to keep a worksite safe and clean.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience in residential construction.
- Knowledge of local building codes and regulations.
Other Relevant Details
- This position will be full time with 8 hours a day and 40 hours per week.
