Job Title: Estimator in Commercial Construction

Job Description:

Harbour Hills is seeking an experienced Estimator in Commercial Construction to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of construction materials, methods, and techniques, as well as the ability to analyze and interpret construction blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze construction drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to understand project requirements and develop accurate cost estimates.
• Review project plans and specifications to identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering options.
• Obtain and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness of pricing.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of cost estimates, subcontractor and supplier quotes, and other project-related documents.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and timely delivery of materials and services.
• Provide guidance to project managers and other team members on cost estimating and budgeting throughout the construction process.
• Attend project meetings and assist with negotiating contracts and managing budgets.
• Prepare and submit bid proposals to clients and participate in bid meetings as needed.
• Conduct regular cost analysis and forecasting to ensure project budgets remain on track.
• Continuously monitor industry trends and advancements in construction materials and methods to inform cost estimating processes and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience as an estimator in commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in construction cost estimating software and tools.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Pay: $75,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
