We are seeking a full-time Security Receptionist for our client, a reputable aircraft manufacturer in Mississauga. Reporting to the Security Manager and Chief Fire Prevention Officer, you will manage the main reception area and welcome all visitors, ensuring a smooth and secure entry process.

As a Customer Service Ambassador, you will represent the organization professionally while upholding core values of integrity, vigilance, and helpfulness. The ideal candidate is reliable, self-motivated, able to maintain composure in unusual situations, and delivers exceptional customer service. Strong communication, interpersonal skills, and professionalism are essential.

Position Overview:

Wages: $25.00/hr

Shift time: Monday to Friday, 0800hrs -1630hrs

Location: Dixie Rd. and Derry Rd.

Reports To:

  • Security Manager, Global Security (Primary)
  • Chief Fire Prevention Officer (Secondary)
  • Securitas Canada Branch Manager (employer) Crew Supervisor on Duty

Security Receptionist Responsibilities include, but not limited to :

  • Greeting all Visitors/Guest/Customers
    • Ensure all visitors are registered in the site visitor app.
    • Provide visitor badges to all visitors, outlining the protocols for wearing badges.
    • Reminding all visitors of Bombardier’s Health & Safety guidelines for the manufacturing facility.
    • Ensure all Visitors sign in and out while on site
    • Contact Bombardier staff, if necessary, when visitors arrive.
  • Provide support to the Global Security team in emergency situations.
  • Perform weekly audits for the Global Security department, as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned by the Security Manager, Industrial Security & Emergency Services or the Chief Fire Prevention Officer
  • Under the direction of the Security Manager, assist with all administrative duties for the Security Department
    • Ordering supplies
    • Tracking and approving Invoicing for the Security department vendors
  • Handle all mail activity for the Pearson site.
    • Accept and send out all mail for the site.
    • Maintain the postage machine for the site.
    • Contact Bombardier staff when they have mail.
  • Assist with small packages/parcels being sent out and delivered from the site.
    • Assist Bombardier staff with preparing small packages/parcels to be sent out.
    • Notify Bombardier staff when small packages/parcels arrive.
    • Ensure staff sign for small packages/parcels when picked up
  • Maintain Security at the main reception area. At times support Customer Visits to the Pearson Global Manufacturing Facility.

Qualification :

  • 3 to 5 years of previous experience in Security Reception or Administrative roles
  • Valid Security Guard license in the Province of Ontario
  • Valid Standard First Aid, AED, and CPR certification
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management, including unionized employees
  • Excellent telephone etiquette
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Capability to function operationally as a member of the Global Security Team
  • Post-secondary education (preferred)
  • Experience with the OnGuard access control system is an asset Experience with the Avigilon CCTV system is an asset
