Staffmax is currently assisting our client in hiring a Senior Sales and Estimator with movement to General Manager in a Mechanical company. YOU MUST HAVE Construction, piping, HVAC or general contracting experience in sales to apply.

• This role is open due to pending semi-retirement into an advisory role.
• Within 1-2 years, moving into a General Manager position
• Located in Winnipeg, must be able to relocate within Canada and work (sorry, no overseas applicants)

Salary and Perks:

• $150-200k to start, once you move to the General Manager role the wage moves to $200-300k
• Bonus will be based on individual and company performance, discretionary
• A potential commission structure could be put into place based on Gross Profit
• 3% RRSP match

Must-Haves:

• Book of business from current or recent mechanical, contracting or HVAC commercial company (preferably 5 million)
• Strong Operations experience
• COR experience is a strong asset
• Bidding for 10-30 million commercial opportunities experience
• Proven sales experience with an existing network/book of business.
• Strong estimating skills in construction, mechanical preferred (HVAC, gas fitting, pipe fitting, plumbing, refrigeration).
• Hands-on operational experience in the mechanical contracting industry.
• Understanding of gross margin, gross profit, and net profit.

Duties:

• The ideal candidate will have a proven book of business, solid operations experience, and a track record of preparing accurate estimates and securing profitable work.
• Manage a staff of 4-6 individuals

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain client relationships to generate new project opportunities.
• Prepare detailed estimates and proposals for mechanical construction projects.
• Collaborate with project managers and field supervisors to ensure seamless project handoff and execution.
• Analyze costs to maintain healthy gross margins.
• Use your on-site construction experience to ensure estimates are realistic and jobs are planned and executed efficiently.
