MOBILE SECURITY GUARD

We are currently looking for a FT MOBILE SECURITY GUARD

Skills and attributes you possess:

Proven track record of achievement and success in security, especially Mobile Patrols, with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience.

• Innovative, self-starter (work independently), and a team player.
• High energy and outgoing personality with a genuine interest in people.
• Must have impeccable communication skills (verbal de-escalation), effective time management, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with computers, MS Office (Word, Excel) and phone/device applications.
• Affinity to create solutions to security and risk management concerns, … “think on your feet”.
• Use of Force and Defense Tactics are assets

What is the job? Duties and responsibilities:

The basics:

• Clean criminal record
• Must have a valid current Alberta Security License (ABST)
• 1st aid and CPR/AED certification
• Excellent English communication skills (speak, read, write), with the ability to professionally engage with members of the public
• Must be able to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays. 8 – 12 hr shifts. Shifts are 9pm-7am FT 4-5 shifts per week.
• Clean Class 5 driver’s license (Class 4 is an asset). Clean driver’s abstract must be provided (must be insurable)
• Knowledge of the city’s roads and traffic patterns, and road conditions (GPS familiarity)
• Tactical communication and Verbal De-escalation skills a definite asset
• Use of Force training and Powers of Arrest highly recommended
• In excellent physical condition to handle demands of the position
• Possess strong report writing and note taking skills, … written and computer.
• Ensure security, integrity and confidentiality of data of Client’s and Impact.
• Knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada a strong asset (Section 494).
• Maintain care and upkeep of mobile fleet and equipment.
• Upkeep and submission of fuel logs, shift reports, incident reports, and run sheets at beginning and end of shift.
• Perform and covering mobile patrols, alarms, and call outs as required and necessary.
• Full knowledge of, and adhering to all SOP’s, duties and POs for all client sites.
• Review, acknowledgement and comply with all company policies and procedures.
• Supervision and site inspection of static sites.
