Position Details
What You Will Do
- The Underwriting Assistant, Commercial Auto will play a critical role in the day to day processing of various administrative components in addition to working closely with the team. Manages emails daily and responding to inquiries in the shared inbox
- Provides administrative support to the underwriting team
- Processes endorsement in an accurate and timely manner
- Performs tasks including out of sequence endorsements, letters of authorization, experience letters and cancellations
- Assigning certain files to underwriters that need immediate attention
- Counting and logging incoming electronic mail, and moving to the appropriate mailbox
- Handling all registered and returned mail from Canada Post
- Sending letters to Brokers/Agents regarding returned registered letters and mail
Who You Are
- Post-secondary education in a related field, and/or currently holds or working towards CIP would be an asset
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with the ability to multi-task
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently
- Strong time management skills, accuracy and attention to detail in a highly structured environment
- Ability to effectively handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast paced environment
