How You’ll Make An Impact
- Report to the Manager, IT Applications.
- Ensure banking applications and support processes are maintained and remain stable, reliable, accurate, and secure to minimize risk to customers and the Bank.
- Develop and maintain software applications to assist the bank.
- Monitor IT dashboard to ensure applications and support processes are working correctly.
- Design, develop and troubleshoot scripts, database queries, indexes and automated jobs.
- Understand, improve, and enforce company IT best practices and policies.
- Cross-train with Business Intelligence team and act as back up for Business Intelligence Analysts.
- Create processes and documents that will improve the effectiveness and efficiency of our IT Operations Team.
- Participate in development and continuous improvement of application support processes.
- Develop queries or reports that provide required business information.
- Answer questions to help business solve technology issues through research or pre-existing expertise.
- Participate in projects as a developer or technical resource.
- Collaborate in the planning, design, development, quality assurance, documentation and deployment of IT projects.
What You Bring To The Table
- You have post-secondary education in computer sciences or equivalent industry experience.
- You’ve been around this block before and have at least two years technical/application support and production support experience.
- You've got experience using GITHUB to manage code.
- You’re no newbie to the financial industry – a bit of knowledge will earn you bonus points!
- You have strong SQL skills to assist with process automation, report writing and custom queries.
- You've worked with SSIS to develop and maintain ETLs.
- You have an understanding of encryption of files and data communication.
- More bonus points if you have any software development experience, particularly C#.
