About the role

Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Purchasing and Receiving Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for ordering, overseeing the receipt of goods and materials, ensuring that all incoming shipments are accurately processed and recorded. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of supply chain processes and experience with procurement systems. Your expertise in sourcing, negotiating prices, and managing inventory will be essential to maintaining efficient operations.

Responsibilities

  • Organize purchase orders and follow the cheque book controls.
  • Manage the receiving process for all incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality.
  • Utilize procurement systems to track inventory levels and manage stock.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to negotiate prices and terms for materials needed for production.
  • Collaborate with the supply chain team to forecast needs and ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to maintain accurate records of stock levels.
  • Assist in the fabrication process by ensuring that all required materials are available when needed.
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams regarding any discrepancies or issues related to received goods.
  • Maintain a clean and organized receiving area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a purchasing, receiving and/or inventory role within a hotel environment.
  • Familiarity with sourcing strategies and supply chain management principles.
  • Proficiency in systems for inventory tracking and procurement processes.
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all transactions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
