As the Light Fleet & Telematics, Supervisor , reporting to the Equipment Manager -Construction, your primary responsibility will be to manage the entire light vehicle fleet across all Ontario CRH Canada & Dufferin business units, engaging CRH Light Vehicle Program Providers (Element or Other) to optimize the total cost of ownership by managing procurement, repairs and maintenance and disposals. Your sound technical knowledge in managing a light vehicle fleet is vital for the success.
Responsibilities
- Manage the full lifecycle of CRH Ontario’s light fleet, including procurement, assignments, maintenance, upfitting, rentals, and disposals.
- Administer the Element Fleet Program across business lines, covering fuel, maintenance, and cost allocations.
- Approve and oversee repair and maintenance activities within defined thresholds to optimize total cost of ownership.
- Coordinate vehicle onboarding and assignments across job sites, plants, quarries, and pits.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, insurance, and regulatory permits (e.g., TSSA, overweight/height/width).
- Resolve outstanding tickets and citations related to fleet assets.
- Lead telematics programs for all fleet types, including system updates, connectivity, alert monitoring, and user training.
- Support AMAT policies and safety programs related to fleet and telematics.
- Assist with equipment data management, including usage, revenue, and batch imports; reconcile discrepancies and uncharged hours.
- Provide mobile support for verifying hour meters, fuel use, and telematics data.
- Prepare fleet-related reports and participate in regular operational and planning meetings.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in fleet management, including maintenance and repairs.
- Familiarity with fleet providers, vendors, dealers, and OEMs.
- Experience with telematics and fleet management software.
- Travel to work locations within Ontario required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of programs; experience with SAP and Viewpoint preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level i.e. (pivot tables, LOOKUPs, conditional formatting, and data analysis).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; customer-focused and adaptable.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Fleet experience related to heavy equipment considered is an asset.
