Girl Guides of Canada is actively seeking a Membership Growth Coordinator (12 months contract with possible extension), Remote working arrangement – Must be based in NS or NB About This Opportunity The Membership Growth Coordinator will be responsible for executing strategies to expand membership within the provincial council. This role will oversee the implementation of growth initiatives, track key performance metrics, coordinate promotional efforts, and collaborate with volunteers and internal teams to enhance outreach and recruitment.
Position Specifics In This Role You Will Provincial Growth Plans
- Support the implementation of the provincial council’s annual growth plan, ensuring that all defined targets and activities are effectively executed.
- Collect and analyze information related to the challenges and opportunities for growing Guiding (demographics, socio-economic, other youth programming, volunteerism stats, organizational membership data, etc.).
- Support the execution of local pilot projects for growth and provide documentation of these projects.
- Support outreach with local volunteer networks and community organizations that support family and youth programs to enhance growth initiatives.
Advertising and Promotion
- Data and analytics for geotargeting ads and promotions.
- Secure and place advertisements in local and regional media to increase visibility and attract new members and volunteers.
- Ensure that the local promotional needs are met and are aligned with the overall growth strategy.
- Identify and leverage promotional opportunities to enhance outreach efforts.
Progress Tracking
- Collect and analyze data related to membership growth projects.
- Provide regular progress reports on key performance indicators and make recommendations for improvements.
- Monitor progress and provide regular reports on provincial growth targets, including waitlist data and available spaces.
Collaboration and Volunteer Support
- When needed, provide on-site support during community engagement events
- Work closely with volunteers to plan and implement local growth projects.
- Collaborate with Field support staff to manage waitlist and support acquisition-related aspects of membership and unit readiness.
General
- Adheres to all relevant policies, procedures, and practices.
- Provide general, ongoing support to members/volunteers, responding to/directing inquiries and consulting with the appropriate groups and individuals to support the mission and vision of GGC.
- Apply organizational policies regarding diversity, inclusivity and equity to content, member communication and customer service.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Post-secondary education related to Marketing, Recruitment, Volunteer Management, Sales/Business or Project Management.
- 2-3 years’ experience in growth, recruitment or sales portfolios
- Strong organizational, project management and administrative skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Assets
- Experience in Membership-based organizations, Associations or Non–profit organizations an asset
- Experience in data tracking, campaign performance analysis is a plus.
- Experience working with volunteers an asset.
- Knowledge of Girl Guides of Canada an asset.
- French language skills/fluency (and any other language spoken in Canada) an asset
Logistics Occasional travel to support recruitment events in person might be required so license and car access are an asset.
Hiring Range: $50,200 to $59,260/Annually
