Role Description Job Title: Network/Security Visualization and Monitoring Analyst

Job Location : Saskatoon or Calgary

Develop and maintain dashboards to visualize data from various NOC and SOC tools

  • Dissect and examine past incidents and response to create use-cases and validation criteria
  • Work with NOC and SOC teams to validate visualizations and automation use-cases
  • Collaborate with NOC and SOC teams to identify and implement automation opportunities.
  • Identify KPIs and implement reporting for multiple audiences to make informed decisions
  • Use dashboards to track important incident metrics and trends, helping the team quickly identify and respond to issues.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions to reduce manual workload and improve service delivery.
  • Continuously seek and implement small, incremental improvements to enhance overall service delivery.
  • Ensure the reporting process is automated, with data from NOC and SOC tools regularly updated and accurately reflected in dashboards.
  • Streamline day-to-day operations through targeted automation of specifically identified tasks and processes.
  • Implement automation for monitoring network performance, capacity, and incidents, including initial triage and categorization of alerts.
  • Automate routine troubleshooting tasks and generate reports on network performance and incidents.
  • Implement automation for detecting security threats and anomalies, and for the initial triage of security alerts.

Skills And Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of network, security, and operations systems and software (Cisco, ServiceNow, CrowdStrike, Splunk)
  • Experience in creating and maintaining dashboards to visualize data from various sources (e.g., PowerBI, Grafana, others)
  • Proficiency in automation tools (Ansible) and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Self-driven with the ability to identify opportunities and take initiative to implement and track them.
  • Nice to have: strong understanding of network and security operations.
