The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Equipment Technician to join our Course & Grounds team. Working closely with the Equipment Manager, the successful candidate will help maintain a modern fleet of turf equipment valued at over $2.5 million. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes pride in their work and wants to grow their skills within a high-performing, supportive team.
The fleet consists of battery powered utility vehicles, small gasoline engine mowing units along with larger gasoline and diesel ride-on mowers. The successful candidate will be reliable, trustworthy, and demonstrate a strong ability to work respectfully and effectively with individuals of all ages, genders, and diverse backgrounds
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop environment
- Perform preventative maintenance in accordance with manufacturer guidelines
- Set up, sharpen, and adjust mowing equipment for optimal performance
- Assist in tracking inventory, repairs, and purchases
- Build strong working relationships with colleagues across departments
- Uphold the values and high standards of the Point Grey Course & Grounds team
Qualifications
- Previous experience in mechanical repair or equipment maintenance is recommended
- A strong work ethic, attention to detail, and positive attitude are essential
- Certifications in mechanics or small engine repair are an asset but not mandatory
- A desire to grow within the golf or turf industry.
